Our Story

Rusty and Rosy is part of the non-profit Waterford Institute™, Inc. located in Salt Lake City, Utah. With a goal to help every child receive the finest education possible, Waterford Institute created Rusty and Rosy Reading™ to provide children at home the same quality education they offer to schools.

Waterford Institute offers early instruction in English reading, math, and science for English native speakers as well as for English as a second or foreign language learners. Its software curriculum has been validated by dozens of studies and has been proven effective to help a wide range of children with different academic backgrounds. Having invested more than $135 million in its software programs, Waterford Institute employs the latest-proven research in its software and curriculum design.

For 35 years, Dr. Dustin Heuston, founder of Waterford Institute, has led the organization in harnessing the power of new techniques to supplement the classroom experience. Today, Waterford Institute offers a variety of programs for U.S. and international settings in order to reach children earlier and help them learn more easily.
